Break
My winter break is long. It started the day before Thanksgiving and doesn't end until January 4th. Cabin fever is starting to set in. I can't tell for sure though. So far, I have spent my break watching movies, surfing the internet, and one night of haing out with friends eating amazing jew food cooked by my mother to celebrate Hanukah early. Ahhh, I could die happy eating that food, especially the 'Death by Triple Chocolate Cake'. Overall, I feel like a slug and actually look foward to the start of a new quarter at school. Fun times ahead (except for doctors appointment tomorrow where they will draw blood).

Endings
Aren't endings bitter sweet? I am currently entering the last week of the quarter in school, with winter starting to creep in, and I had this thought. On the one hand I cannot wait for the quarter to be over. On the other hand I will miss college life and my friends over the long winter break (Thanksgiving until after the new year, Holy Crap!). I am starting to feel the stress of the end bend over me. I have another O.Chem test tomorrow and a presentation in my INST/humanities class. I even had a choir concert tonight. My mind might explode, figuratively, and collapse in on itself once the quarter ends. I also can't tell if I like having both of my final exams on the same day or not. On the one hand I get them both out of the way in one fell swoop. On the other hand the exams are O.Chem and Physics and they are on the last day of exams in the morning. Thank God for friends, family (especially mom), and music. Here ends the ramblings, more like a rant or reflection today. "To live is so startling it leaves little time for anything else" (Emily Dickinson).

Fall Daze
I love fall. The weather isn't burning hot of summer and isn't quite yet the frozen white lands of winter. Today was on the chilly side, but even the indoors were cold. Why is that? Why are some buildings always so cold? I don't know. All I know for now is that I cannot wait for this quarter to be over. I could use some true R&R where homework isn't a concern at the back of my mind. In happier news, Halloween is coming up this weekend. There is a party Wednesday, a Halloween masquerade on Thursday, a town Halloween festival on Friday, and Halloween itself on Saturday. Not to mention the Halloween movie marathons on the telly. I think I could use the celebrating atmosphere, especially after the next Organic Chemistry test on Friday. Help! As always, life has its ups and downs while it plods along. In closing:
"Double, double toil and trouble; fire burn, and cauldron bubble/Fillet of a fenny snake/In the cauldron boil and bake/Eye of newt and toe of frog/Wool of bat and tongue of dog/Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting/Lizard's leg and owlet's wing/For a charm of powerful trouble/Like a hell-broth boil and bubble" (Three Witches in Macbeth).

Third Entry
Hello Reader(s). How's life? Mine has actually been really busy. Classes keep on going, Organic Chemistry in particular is kicking my butt, friends are being social, and this weekend is homecoming at my school. A parade, where we won first place in the banner contest, a football game and a barbecue with friends. Homework has also been done, but I've found myself focusing on my mental sanity as well. Thursday I had a mini mental breakdown so Friday after I participated in a school event I relaxed at home with my computer, Shakespeare. Yes, my lovely computer has a name and he connects with the internet super highway on top of other normal computer duties. My family has a habit of naming cars, cats, and other personal objects we use everyday day. This way we can coax it to work, curse it when it doesn't, and share feeling with it so we aren't really talking to ourselves. I will close my rambling with a personal favorite quote: "When life hands you lemons, make grape juice. Then sit back and let the world wonder how you did it."

Learning Experience
I like having 'me time'. I enjoy the hours and days I can spend doing nothing but relaxing with a book, a movie, or my devoted laptop Shakespeare, full name William Shakespeare. I have also found that I enjoy the time I spend in my EDUC 210 class. I am given two hours to explore the technology offered to me by my computer instead of only using it for the internet and paper writing. I found I actually love being able to play around in the programs and find new effects to add to PowerPoint or Word. It's like exploring the woods near where I grew up or my own Hogarts on my computer right at my finger tips. There are programs where I excell and have more experience in than my peers, but I also learn a lot from them and find time spent in the computer lab relaxing in its own way.

First Entry/Test Run
I've never had a blog before. I was curious after seeing the movie "Julie and Julia" but the only reason I have finally caved to the internet fad of blogging is because I was given an assignment for my Education class to create my own blog. I am wary of internet chat rooms and the like, but I find myself drawn to the information and reading materials available through the internet. To end my ramblings I will complete this assignment by saying:
"The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese."
